Cloud Engineer (McLean, VA)

– Work closely with Sponsor and PM to gather requirements and contribute to the development of network-related features. 
– Demonstrated experience designing and implementing cloud-based solutions including Compute, Storage, Networking, Security, and Monitoring. 
– Demonstrated experience working across multi-cloud network environments. 
– Apply your solid foundation of cloud networking using VNET, VPC, VPNs, firewalls, routing tables, ExpressRoutes, Direct Connects, networking protocols, and peering. 
– Demonstrated experience with traffic engineering (AWS – VPC, transit gateway, CloudWatch and ELB) and (Azure – VNET, VPN gateway, Firewall, and Front Door). 
– Have an understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, firewall configurations, and network security groups. 
– Participate in capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and security audits. 
– Create detailed documentation of network designs and configurations. 
– Continuously monitor and analyze network performance metrics. 
– Stay abreast on latest cloud services, features, trends, and best practices and provide recommendations on their adoption. 
– Demonstrated experience with A&A workflows and tools. 
– Demonstrated experience with Sponsor’s security requirements and systems. 
– Demonstrated experience monitoring system performance and recommending corrective action.
